Let me start by saying I will be so glad on November 3 that I won’t have to listen to negative advertising that says little and infuriates many.  Which as Seth Godin said in his blog today is how politicians get people to avoid voting.

It is a very sad commentary that this country has one of the lowest voter turn out records in Western countries.  So many complain that their vote means nothing, yet in our recent history we saw how a few votes changed an election

I, too, am tired of the pundits, politicians, and media who tell me how I am supposed to think.

I vote almost every election.  OK, the one I don’t vote is for the chancellors or whomever of the state college system I have no idea who they are.  But every other election I vote.  I state my view.  I take a stand.  It takes a few minutes out of my day that’s all.

If you aren’t willing to make the effort to vote, don’t complain to me about taxes, war or any other issues.  If you aren’t willing to say your piece then it’s your fault government gets away with what they do.  If you aren’t willing to be heard then they assume what they are doing is just fine by you. If you don’t like what’s happening, say something.

40% or less voter turn-out says the majority of people are just fine with everything the government does on all levels.. Shame on you if you don’t vote, and if you don’t, don’t complain to me you had your chance.  Vote or just shut up
