Vegging Time

What a great weekend this has been for just mindless activities and some not so mindless.  We’ve often heard people say they work hard and play hard.  For me it’s also veg hard.  I love sitting on the deck and reading; sometimes even napping.

This weekend I watched fireworks, listened to a concert, enjoyed family, read, napped, conversed, thought, and planned; even watched dumb reality TV.  Without realizing it, all of it has a positive effect to get me pumped up for Mon/Tues.

I was rereading the “E-Myth”, great book for all entrepreneurs or anyone in business; I was reminded of how I need to get back on track.  I am also in the process of writing basic business e-books for those who need information now and the information I read in the book and from on-line sources helped me focus.

Watching people at the concert reminded me about marketing and how people deal with varying situations especially getting out of parking lots; not pretty.

The best part of the weekend was the ability to just let my mind wander and think about possibilities.  We don’t often have time to do that during the week.  Even watching mindless TV, “Bethany’s getting married”, yes I succumbed.   The lesson I learned there is when you are overwhelmed, learn to delegate but be specific and trust the people you are delegating to.  More importantly ask for help and laughter goes a long way.  Of course blaming craziness on raging hormones helps too, but I don’t think that’s a good focus for successful business.

In whatever manner you enjoy I hope you have time to just veg out and enjoy yourself so you can be re-energized with more clarity for your success.
